Currently reading the "Buffy" book Paleo by Yvonne Navarro. About half-way through, pretty good so far.

A Kansas City bookseller tried to thin out his stock by giving away books to libraries and schools. Alas, there were no takers, because the libraries were full, because fewer people are reading books these days. So the bookseller came up with an unusual way to protest.

As for me, I just finished Robert Parker's "Hundred Dollar Baby," Michael Connelly's "Echo Park," and Jeffery Deaver's "The Vanished Man."

Just finished Marley and Me: Life and Love with the World's Worst Dog.
About to start Stephen King's Everything's Eventual. It's a book of short stories, so if I don't finish it before the new HP comes out, I can just put it down and pick it back up later.

Having become a fan of the TV show, I just read "Darkly Dreaming Dexter" by Jeff Lindsay. I enjoyed it, and will probably read the other two books in the series, but the Dexter of the books is definitely much darker than the Dexter of TV.
Speaking of the TV show, did you see Julie Benz as Lara Croft? Hubba hubba! (Sorry, honey.)

I am finally diving back into Star Wars New Jedi Order, it has around 20 novels to it and I made it about halfway before I started having my kids and couldn't get time to read them. I am at book 10 again so here's hoping that I can keep juggling eveything because I really want to enjoy it all.
Also just finished a Peter David Battlestar Galactica book. I'm a huge fan of the author, but it was only an ok read.

Just finished Dearly Devoted Dexter ... I liked it better than the first book of the series. On to the next one!

For some reason I have been obsessed with reading Jim Butcher lately. I've read 3 of the Codex Alera books and right now I am on the 9th Dresden Files book. Since I can't seem to find a job it has left me with a lot of time to read.

I keep meaning to read The Dresden Files books. I liked the short-live Sci-Fi Channel series (which I have on DVD), and have heard that the books are much better.
Today I bought, Hunters of Dune and Sandworms of Dune. I loved the first six books of the series, but I've heard horrible things about the books written after Frank Herbert's death by his son Brian and sci-fi writer Kevin J. Anderson. Those I've avoid. But I thought I'd give these two a chance since they were based on the senior Herbert's outlines, which according to the book cover, lay hidden in two safe-deposit boxes for a decade.

I haven't read any of the Dune series but almost did when I was browsing the bookstore for new books once those were the ones I was considering...But that was the trip that lead me to buying The Dresden Files (Ken wanted to read those too). Maybe I should check out Dune next...I'm about to run out of Dresden Files and I have this annoyingly strong need to read. I'm really enjoying The Dresden Files books they started to get a lot better by the 3rd or 4th book, not like they weren't good before that but they started to feel more 'polished', or something later. The books are better than the show (which I also have on DVD) only because there's so much more to it. Also I look at the show as being loosely based on the books, there are a lot of differences but I don't find that to be a problem. I wish there was more of the show, it was like once I started to get really into it they decided to end it.
