How do you get your music?
I had a Xmas gift subscription to Napster, but only listened, never bought, it ran out.
We used to use Napster, morpheus, and all the other "shifty" sites but went legit a long time ago.
I don't have an ipod, but use mp3 players. So I'll load some stuff from my older computer downloads, or covert a CD to mp3.
My little bro had quite the music library so it's time to update some stuff from him.
My point is, anyone use any of the pay sites to buy tracks? I don't buy CDs like I used to unless I'm certain I like most of what's on it.

I don't like to buy music over the internet. That's not entirely true. I don't like buying music over the internet because of the DRM (Digital Rights Management) it's full of. I personally believe that once you purchase music (or movies, or anything of that nature) you have full right to convert or back-up that media into any format you wish for your own personal use. DRM restricts your use, sometimes actually rendering the music you buy unplayable.
I usually prefer to buy CDs and rip them to MP3s.

I'm currently looking into that URGE site. It costs the same as iTunes. I like the fact that you can buy one or two songs from this album and a few from that one and make your own greatest hits cd for the same price as if you bought the cd in the store. But I was under the impression that once you bought the song you could do whatever you wanted with it, copy to another CD or MP3 or whatever. Is this not true?

I think that Amazon's music is now DRM-free, so you can play it on any computer without having to download/transfer licenses.
