Reviving this thread from my old board just so I'd have a thread in this forum-
I haven't been watching a lot of movies lately, but I caught Camp, which I've seen multiple times, on TV Saturday.

Watched Kinsey. Picked it up for $5. It was ok. Currently watching AvP on FX, but I'll miss the last 30 minutes so I can watch LOST. That's ok, I have the DVD.

Friday I watched Star Wars to celebrate it's 30th anniversary. Today, I watched another one of my favorites, The Color Purple. Though it's MUCH different from the book, I still love it. The cinematography is excellent.

Pan's Labyrinth- Wow, just wow. After watching it for 10 minutes on my little 13" TV in my bed room, I had to pop it out of the DVD player, take it into the living room and watch it on the projection screen in surround sound. Wow.

Mousehouse and I just took our girls to see "Stardust." It was surprisingly good, although honestly, if Ratty had been here, I probably would have let the females see "Stardust" while he and I saw "War" or "Death Sentence" or something equally violent.

I do want to see War, but I kind of want to see Stardust too. I've watched quite a few movies this weekend. Yesterday, I watched three stupid comedies- Let's Go to Prison, Wild Hogs, and Blades of Glory- and a 1976 scifi classic Futureworld. Currently watching Futureworld's 1973 prequel Westworld on my laptop courtesy of Netflix. I LOVE my DSL!

(On Tv) I just watched two comedies on Tbs this weekend, that were much better than I expected. Guess Who? Wow. Ashton is kinda cute. Bernie Mac rules of course! Hitch. I missed good Will Smith movies and I have to see his last one now. Kevin James (?) was really good too. Maybe I was just in the right mood for them. 2 of my DVD players are currently out of action so I have netflix stuff just sitting around, thankfully TBS saved me!

Watched Transformers last night. It was pretty good, but not as good as I had expected. Something tells me that I would have enjoyed it more at the theater instead of my little 13" TV I have in the bedroom. I might give it another shot this weekend on my 6' projection system.

HFM and I just watched "The Polar Express" (yes, for the first time) on DVD. That was a strange movie... not bad... just strange... especially Steven Tyler's cameo.

I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry- Just as I feared, very stereotypical and at times down right offensive. While there were a few slightly funny moments and it ended on an "up note" (as I knew it would), these things were not nearly enough to redeem it in my eyes.

Finally watched Spider Man 3. I liked it, but I thought it ran a bit too long.

Just watched Knocked Up. It had received good reviews, and of course Wash is in it, not to mention Marshall from How I Met Your Mother, so had to give it a try. I thought it was pretty sophomoric, especially the first hour or so, but it was an interesting look at how people dealt with an unexpected pregnancy. It was worth watching, but I'm glad I didn't pay to see it in a theater.
