Beowulf- Once I got past the extreme gore and life-like animation which at times came across as creepy, I was impressed.

Just watched the vampire flick 30 Days of Night. I thought it was pretty good.

Justice League: The New Frontier
Starring Angel himself, David Boreanaz, as the Green Lantern; Neil Patrick Harris as the Flash; and Lucy Lawless as Ratboy's girl, Wonder Woman ... well, their voices, anyway.
I watched it out of curiosity, because of the actors involved, and wasn't terribly impressed.

Bridge to Terabithia- A good, fun movie until a sudden plot twist and then it turned very sad. I still thought it was a good movie, it just didn't leave me with the warm-fuzzy feeling I'm used to having after watching most Disney movies. I felt more like I did following another famous Disney flick, Old Yeller. August Rush- I really enjoyed it though I'll probably one watch it the one time. Robin Williams plays a good bad guy.

Despite all the bad reviews, I watched I Am Legend. Wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. The CG creatures weren't great. They all looking the same. Why bother with CG if you're going to do it badly? Will Smith was superb though.

Hairspray- the musical version. On its own, it was an okay movie. Compared the original, it couldn't hold a candle. Ricki Lake, John Waters, and Divine... you just can't beat 'em.

Watched Enchanted to night. A predictable, but very cute movie. A couple of places had me laughing so hard I almost cried.

Sweeney Todd- First time I've ever seen a horror musical. Not bad, though I was ill prepared for just how gory it was.

Alvin and the Chipmunks THough the kids are watching more of it than I am, it's cute. I keep missing the "Bom chick a wa wa chick a wa wa" part that's their favorite. I think it's on its 4th run right now. They also watched Enchantend last week, but I haven't had a chance to see it yet.

I saw Alvin and the Chipmunks at the theater in December. I thought it was pretty good.
The Seeker - The Dark is Rising- Nothing to write home about, but not too terrible.

AVPR: Aliens vs Predator - Requiem- Picking up right from the end of AvP, this latest installment is the story of what happens to a Colorado town when the Predator ship carrying Aliens crashes on its outskirts. Probably the most shockingly violent, though not overly gory, of the series. Men, women, children, even babies- no one is safe. It also has the worst acting and the flimsiest storyline of the bunch. The Aliens and Predators seem like pale reflections of their former selves. It's as if the writers of this film never saw any of the movies from the original franchises. It is also a very dark movie. I don't mean tonally, I mean lighting wise. At times it's hard to tell exactly what's happening especially when you throw in a lot of quick cuts. I rented it for a buck. I could have spent up to five and not felt totally cheated. But I'm glad I didn't buy it.

Watched I Am Legend last night. I liked it well enough, but I'm glad I didn't shell out the dough to see it in the theater.

I watched 'We Own The Night'.
It was surprisingly good. The acting was superb, the playout of the storyline was a bit predictable to an obvious ending. Still in all the acting was so good you can overlook the predictable nature of the film.
I'm familiar with the family dynamic, very realistic.
It was good.
